Light microscope histology image of a 0.5 um section cut through the bronchiolar area of the lung (mouse). The histology image shows the bronchiolar epithelium which consists of ciliated cells and non-ciliated cells (called Clara cells). Behind the epithelial lining is an area of smooth muscle and behind that are blood vessels, containing red blood cells. ZEISS Standard RA LM.
