Vein - histology slide
|
The cross section of a small vein shows endothelial, medial, and adventitial layers. There is a single layer of endothelial cells, a smooth muscular media, and a prominent adventitia. The latter is made up of connective tissue and some smooth muscle cells and contains vasa vasorum.
