Light microscope histology image of a 0.5um section cut through the bronchiolar area of the lung (mouse). The histology image shows the bronchiolar epithelium which consists of ciliated cells and non-ciliated cells (called Clara cells). Behind the epithelial lining is an area of smooth muscle.
