Spinal cord - histology slide

This histology slide is from the spinal cord. A histology slide of normal cervical cord tissue using cresyl violet stain technique. Cresyl violet stain, used here to stain this section of cervical spinal cord, bonds well with acidic components that comprise the neuronal cytoarchitecture such as ribosomes, nuclei and nucleoli.
