Nasal epithelia, alligator - TEM

This is a histology slide from an American alligator. OSN (olfactory receptor neurons) (type I) with few mitochondria. The long arrow points to a centriole deep in the cytoplasm of the OSN (olfactory receptor neurons).

Short arrow - basal body of cilia; sc - supporting cell; long arrow - centriole.
