Coronary artery - histology slide
|
This is a histology slide from a coronary artery. The coronaries are muscular arteries. Microscopic sections show a palely eosinophilic inner intima lined by a single layer of endothelial cells; a somewhat thicker media, made up largely of smooth muscle cells; and an outer fibrous adventitia.
