Esophagus - histology slide
|
This histology slide is from the esophagus. There are four layers of tissue to the espophagus: mucosa, submucosa, muscularis externa, and adventitia. Notice the non keratinized stratified squamous epithelium of the mucosa. The submucosa and muscularis externa are also prominent. A small amount of adventitia is visible on this section.
