Cervix - histology slide
|
This is a histology slide of the cervix. This histology image shows the junction of ecto- and endocervix (transition zone). The exocervix is lined by
nonkeratinized stratified squamous epithelium, the endocervix by columnar cells. Several branched endocervical glands lined by tall columnar mucus secreting cells are found in the underlying collagenous stroma.
