Adrenal gland - histology slide
|
This is a histology gland of the adrenal gland. The fibrous capsule lies outside of the cortex. The latter consists of three layers, the outer zona glomerulosa, the middle zona fasciculata, and the inner zona reticularis. Most of the cortical cells have a palely staining cytoplasm because of their lipid content. In the medulla the cells are arranged in clusters or irregularly.
