Pancreas - histology slide

This is a histology slide of the pancreas. The exocrine pancreas is a serous gland in which the secretory acini are arranged in lobules. The acini are lined by trapezoidal columnar epithelium and have small central lumen and basal nuclei. Ducts have a larger lumen and are lined by a single layer of columnar epithelium. In the endocrine pancreas islets of Langerhans consist of clusters of palely eosinophilic polygonal cells.
