Trachea - histology slide
|
This is a histology slide of the trachea. The mucosal lining is made up of ciliated pseudostratified columnar epithelium which rests on a
basement membrane. Beneath the lamina propria are abundant mucus-producing goblet cells. A portion of a ring of hyaline cartilage surrounded by smooth muscle can be seen.
