This is a histology slide from the thymus of a child. This high power section reveals a thymic (Hassall's) corpuscle in the center of the medulla. This consists of concentrically arranged, partially keratinized epithelial cells.

Histology slide descriptions and photography by Frank N. Miller, M.D.; histology slide courtesy of Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
